Begin and end in the hustle and bustle of New York; enjoy Times Square, Central Park, Manhattan and the Statue of Liberty before heading on to Philadelphia, where a historical tour is just the thing to work up an appetite for some authentic Philly cuisine. Discover some of the most important monuments in the country in Washington, before returning to New York.
Welcome to New York. Check in to your hotel by midday. In the early afternoon, meet your guide for the Secrets of Times Square Urban Adventure. Times Square can feel crowded and touristy when you first arrive, but the tour will open your eyes to some true local haunts. The rest of the evening is free for you to explore this immense city. Your guide will be able to provide you with recommendations for some great places to eat and drink.
Day 2 - Starting: Philadelphia & Finishing: Philadelphia
In the morning take a two-hour train south to Philadelphia. On arrival into the city, meet your guide for the History in HD Urban Adventure. From the building where the United States Constitution was signed to the site of the house where George Washington once lived, embark on a historical journey through Philadelphia. The tour finishes in the late afternoon and you have the rest of the evening free to explore. Your guide will be able to suggest some things to do and see in the city.
Day 3 - Starting: Washington DC & Finishing: Washington DC
After breakfast, travel to the nation's capital of Washington DC (approximately 2-3 hours). Your day is free to explore this compact city, before meeting up with your guide in the evening for the Monuments by Night Urban Adventure. Climb aboard an open-air electric vehicle for a tour around some of the city's most iconic sights. Cruise by the Washington Monument and the Lincoln, Franklin Delano Roosevelt and Jefferson Memorials, which all look spectacular when they’re lit up at night. You'll be on your own tomorrow, so if you want any recommendations about what to see and do in town, now's a good time to ask your guide.
Day 4 - Starting: Washington DC & Finishing: Washington DC
Today is free to explore Washington DC on your own. Perhaps head to the White House, take a tour of the National Museum of Natural History or stroll through the manicured park of the National Mall. Discover the cobbled streets, harbour or university in the historical district of Georgetown. In the evening, perhaps try some authentic American food at one of the many grill joints in town.
Day 5 - Starting: New York & Finishing: New York
Take the train back to New York this morning (approximately 3-4 hours), where your trip comes to an end. There are no more activities planned for today and you're free to depart at anytime.

Get back to nature and take in some of America’s stunning, rugged and majestic national parks. Starting in the ‘Mile-High City’ of Denver, head to South Dakota’s bizarre and beautiful Badlands National Park and then on to the historic mining town of Deadwood. Get up close and personal with past presidents at Mt Rushmore, check out the enormous work-in-progress at Crazy Horse and gallop across Wyoming’s open plains on horseback at a ranch in Cody. Head out into Yellowstone with a local guide to try and spot a wolf, pay a visit to the cool alpine region of Grand Teton and then finish up in Jackson Hole.
Take in Las Vegas through to San Francisco and make your way across the countryside through scorching Death Valley and the forests of Sierra Nevada. Enjoy the decadence of Sin City and then leave the desert as you make tracks for California’s mountain region. Trek and explore Yosemite, marvel at the size of Half Dome, and then head on to the coast as you move through constantly changing scenery.
The United States is one of the most passionately unified nations in the world, but with every state comes a totally different way of life. With modern-day cowboys in the south, Hollywood standbys in Los Angeles and suit-clad moneymen in New York, there is no doubt that this is one incredibly diverse country. Explore the glitz and glamour of casino jockeys in Las Vegas before entering the desert landscape of Arizona. Be entranced by the tranquillity of Zion National Park and gaze in awe at the colossal Grand Canyon. Finish up in California for some beachside sun.
