Day 1 - Starting: Bariloche & Finishing: Bariloche
Arrive in Bariloche in the foothills of the Andes and transfer to your hotel. Spend free time relaxing or strolling the lakeside. Be sure to sample the town’s famous chocolate.
Day 2 - Starting: Bariloche & Finishing: Bariloche
Leave the city behind today and head for the Llao Llao Peninsula. Enjoy breathtaking views of both Nahuel Huapi Lake and the Patagonian landscape while travelling around the peninsula’s short circuit. Enjoy lunch with a local family.
Day 3 - Starting: Bariloche & Finishing: Bariloche
Embark on a trip to Brazo Tristeza, a remote glacial fjord of Nahuel Huapi Lake only accessible by boat. After cruising across its pristine waters, you’ll hike through the Valdivian rainforest greenery that flanks them. Walk through the jungle past immense coihue, alerce and larch trees to arrive at the base of a secluded waterfall.
Day 4 - Starting: Bariloche & Finishing: Bariloche
Your independent experience ends after breakfast with a transfer to the airport.
Surrounded by Patagonian peaks, Valdivian rainforest and a secluded glacial fjord, Nahuel Huapi Lake is legendary in more ways than one. In 1922, experts from the Buenos Aires Zoo visited the area to investigate Nahuelito, a monster reported to be inhabiting the waters of the lake. Though they came up empty-handed, the zoo has continued to collect information on the creature ever since, including photographic evidence.
