Day 1 - Starting: New York (Newark) to Niagara Falls & Finishing: New York (Newark) to Niagara Falls

Welcome to the USA. Your leader will pick you up from the lobby of the starting point hotel by 7.30 am today. Head to the Delaware Water Gap on the famous Appalachian Trail. Continue through the Pocono Mountains, perhaps stopping at a classic American roadside diner for lunch. After lunch, make your way to the spectacular Niagara Falls. In the evening, you can cross over Rainbow Bridge into Canada to see the falls lit up in a rainbow of colour. Total driving time today is between seven and eight hours.

Day 2 - Starting: Niagara Falls to Seneca Falls & Finishing: Niagara Falls to Seneca Falls

In the morning, get up close to the base of Niagara Falls on a Maid of the Mist boat cruise. Make sure you wear a raincoat, as this can be quite a wet experience. There are numerous viewpoints at which you can appreciate the pure power of the falls. After your visit, journey through wine country to the historic town of Seneca Falls. Continue on to the vineyards of Finger Lakes to perhaps sample some local wines, before heading to a hotel for the night. Total driving time today is between three and four hours.

Day 3 - Starting: Finger Lakes to New York (Newark) & Finishing: Finger Lakes to New York (Newark)

After breakfast today, drive south towards New York (approximately six hours). On the way, stop for two hours to shop at the Woodbury Common Premium Outlet Mall. With its 228 department store, shops, bars and restaurants, this is the ideal place to expand your wardrobe and grab a bite to eat. Your three day adventure ends at Liberty State Park in New Jersey. From here you can take in outstanding views of the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island and the Manhattan skyline. There are no more activities planned for the day and you're free to depart at any time. From Liberty State Park it is a short and simple ferry ride across to Manhattan. Your leader will be able to help you with directions.
