Day 1

Madrid

• Welcome to Spain!
• Can arrive at any time, take a wonder or relax in the hotel.
• Madrid offers a remarkable blend of sights, sounds and experiences. Soak up the art, be wowed by the architecture and swoon over the exceptional food.

Day 2

Madrid

• Meet with your local guide for a welcome meeting this morning before heading out for a half day walking tour of Madrid. You will start exploring Madrid at famous Puerta del Sol, one of the busiest squares in the city. Puerta del Sol originated as one of the gates in the city wall that surrounded Madrit in 15th century. Name of the former gate, which now became a square, comes from the east direction it was facing, allowing sun to decorate it every morning. From there you will move on to Plaza Mayor and San Miguel Market followed by a visit to Almudena Cathedral and Royal palace.
• Enjoy a traditional lunch with your guide before having the afternoon free to explore.

Day 3

Madrid

• This morning we visit to the city of Toledo. The unique old town of this city sits on high craggy rock and is encircled by the Tagus River. As a former capital of Spain, Toledo has immense historic significance and holds many architectural treasures. Examples of buildings from most architectural periods in Spain’s history can be seen here, ranging from Gothic to Baroque. We explore the city with a local guide and pay particular attention the Alcazar, an impressive stone fortification located in the highest part of the old town. After our visit to Toledo, we drive back to Madrid for a free afternoon.

Day 4

Madrid

• Your trip comes to an end after breakfast. There are no activities planned for today, you can depart at anytime.
